Program Description: The goal of the Workshop for Law Professors on Public Choice Economics is to introduce law professors to the concepts of public choice and positive political economy and how to use those concepts in their research and teaching. The workshop will be designed to be conceptual rather than technical and will be aimed at introducing participants to the core concepts of public choice theory, including the use of economic concepts to study collective decision-making, the methodology of studying political decision-making as a positive economics discipline, and empirical testing of public choice concepts. Enrollment is limited to 24 professors.
