The Law & Economics Center hosted its Eighth Annual Public Policy Institute on Financial Services on Tuesday, May 1 through Thursday, May 3, 2018. This years program featured a keynote addresses by Mark A. Calabria, Chief Economist for the Office of the Vice President of the United States, and Nathaniel Popper, Technology Reporter for The New York Times and author of Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money.
Program participants also had an opportunity to tour a state of the art Visa processing facility designed to securely process hundreds of millions of financial transactions per day. The data center tour, led by the top cyber security practitioners, provided participants with a unique insight into to the systems, hardware, software, and skilled professionals that keep the world’s largest retail payment network safe.
