The Economics Institute is the LEC’s flagship program. It addresses fundamental economic issues that are often at the heart of legal disputes. Through intensive classroom lectures and discussions, judges are given a solid grounding in economics, finance, and statistics. The practical relevance of these disciplines is emphasized through the interactive analysis of numerous cases. Instructors are Scalia Law professors who specialize in teaching economics concepts to audiences that have no prior exposure to economics.
