Program Description: At the American Illness Symposium and Book Project, twenty-plus contributors from the fields of law, economics, and international relations contributed original articles in an effort to examine the contribution of the U.S. legal system to the country’s long postwar decline. Currated and edited by former LEC director and Mason law professor F.H. Buckley the project participants gathered in Alexandria, VA on December 3-4, 2010 to present their articles and discuss them with their fellow authors. The final articles were compiled into a book, The American Illness, published by Yale University Press in June 2013.
