There is a need for strong voices, more empirical research, and a pipeline of young legal and policy experts committed to consumer choice who are ready to serve in government and help shape regulatory agencies. The Institute for Consumer Financial Choice (ICFC) will be the first of its kind: an academic institute designed to (1) study markets and their impact on consumer choice; and (2) deploy rigorous research on testable questions involving consumer finance to educate current and future policy makers.
