Event Details

  • Date:
  • Venue: Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
  • Division: The Judicial Education Program

The Economics Institute for Arkansas Judges addressed fundamental economic issues that are often at the heart of legal disputes. The program was a modified version of the LEC’s flagship week long Economics Institute designed as part of the LEC‘s initiative to bring its programming directly to state judges in their state. Through intensive classroom lectures and discussions, Arkansas judges were given a solid grounding in economics and the tools it provides to enrich legal analysis. The practical relevance of the material is emphasized through the interactive analysis of numerous cases. Instructors were professors who specialize in teaching economics concepts to audiences that have no prior exposure to economics.
