Advanced technology has become both a necessity and convenience of everyday life. With those advancements, policymakers and regulators are faced with the difficult task of protecting consumers in the wake of rapid technological innovations. The AGEP Workshop on the Economics of Information, Advertising & Privacy was designed to provide Attorneys General and their staff an understanding of the economic forces at work in online advertising and information markets, as well as a background on privacy and first amendment concerns.
Participants also attended the Ninth Annual Public Policy Symposium on the Law & Economics of Privacy and Data Security.
