Program Description:  The House Judiciary Committee recently passed the Lawsuit Abuse Reduction Act of 2013, and it awaits action on the floor of the House.  Join us for a discussion of attempts to reform Rule 11 and return it to its pre-1993 language, which required federal judges to impose sanctions on attorneys who violate Rule 11’s prohibition against frivolous lawsuits.  Discussion will include an argument in favor of reform, and argument against, and a perspective from the corporate world.
