Program Description:  The last decade has seen an incredible rise to prominence of online search and social media services.  These new industries present a unique set of issues to regulators and state attorneys general.  Understanding the technology and economics of search and social networks is necessary to facilitate sensible policies in this area.  The Public Policy Conference on Competition, Search, & Social Media seeks to address these issues by inviting experts in the field to present their views and engage in a vibrant discussion about competition policy in these dynamic industries.  Staff from state attorneys general offices are also invited to join us for a reception and dinner with conference speakers at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14 at Le Méridien Arlington.
